Work Experience - Invervar Site

Ruth Sinclair, a student from Aberdeen University studying Geography and Business has been helping out at the Invervar Hydro Site monitoring silt traps making sure that silt from the digging and groundworks isn't contaminating the surrounding rivers and having a damaging effect on the fresh water mussels.

"This work experience has been an excellent opportunity to show me how geography works in the real world and not just in a lecture theatre. It has also allowed me to have a closer look at how the Invervar hydro system works, which I find very interesting, as I am extremely interested in renewable energy and the effects it has on the environment.

I would like to thank Kilmac for giving me this opportunity and helping me to see how I can apply my degree in the real world."
