Supporting Routes into Employment in Fife

Posted on April 7, 2026

Kilmac is proud to have delivered a Support into Work initiative in partnership with Clued Up, as part of our social value commitments on the Templehall Community Hub project with BAM.

Designed to support young people facing barriers to employment — including care experience and educational disadvantage — the programme provided a direct, practical route into the construction industry, linked to a live project in their local community.

Delivered over a structured 7-week programme, participants received:

  • Career mentoring and employability support
  • CV writing and mock interview preparation
  • Accredited training opportunities
  • A live site visit to Templehall Community Hub

This hands-on approach ensured individuals not only gained insight into the sector, but also built the confidence, skills and qualifications needed to move forward.

Measurable Impact

  • 69 hours of direct support delivered
  • £7,285.02 social value generated
  • 2 individuals secured employment
  • Additional participants progressed into CSCS certification and further construction training

This initiative demonstrates Kilmac’s commitment to going beyond project delivery — creating meaningful, measurable social value by investing in people and strengthening local communities.

It also highlights the power of collaboration between contractor, client and community partners in delivering real, lasting outcomes.

We look forward to building on this success and continuing to create sustainable pathways into construction careers for those who need it most.
