Kilmac is proud to have supported the Dunnikier Country Park Development Group by delivering vital enabling works for a new on-site storage facility. This collaborative community project came about following a request made to BAM Construction by Fife Council, seeking practical support for local volunteering efforts.
Working in partnership with BAM and other supply chain contributors, Kilmac played a key role in bringing the project to life by delivering the groundwork needed to install the storage container and create a safe, accessible entry point.
Kilmac provided:
✔ Excavation and preparation of the base for the container
✔ Supply and placement of Type 1 MOT backfill
✔ Installation of 10 no. 600x600mm precast concrete slabs to form an access patio
Our contribution helped ensure the space was level, stable, and easily accessible for volunteers moving equipment in and out of the unit.
This new storage container enables the community group to securely store their tools and materials, helping them scale up their volunteering efforts and improve park amenities for residents. The project not only benefits the park directly, but also supports wider community wellbeing, education, and engagement.
“This would not have been possible without your generosity and community spirit.”
— Gary Meldrum, Committee Member, Dunnikier Country Park Development Group
Kilmac's in-kind works on this project equated to a social value contribution of £1,159.29, demonstrating our commitment to adding value beyond the construction site.
