November - Training and Development Achievements

November has certainly been a busy month for training!

Kilmac is committed to ensuring that all staff have access to learning, development and training opportunities which enable them to be suitably knowledgeable and skilled to carry out their role within the Company, and to develop their talents in ways that fit with the Company’s development to meet its strategic objectives.

Kilmac considers it appropriate to base training and development opportunities on the requirements of the business. Therefore, decisions about investment in staff training and development will always be made having regard to the needs of the business as well as the staff member’s individual needs.

Kilmac believes that effective training and development benefits the individual and the company as a whole, and contributes to the achievement of Kilmac business objectives.

Kilmac November Training and Development Achievements

Over the month of November, various employees of Kilmac completed and achieved CITB accredited courses.

On behalf of everyone at Kilmac, we would like to congratulate the following employees for their achievements throughout November:

Kevin McGuinness

With Kevin recently joining Kilmac, he was required to achieve his Managers and Professions CSCS test which Kevin achieved. Congratulations!

Paul Craig

Congratulations to Paul Craig who achieved his Temp Work Coordinator course. This two day course is designed to assist those on site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works. It is also designed to give confidence to senior management and those who engage with contractors, to reach an assessed standard of knowledge.

Colin Welch/David Farquharson/Garry Balfour/Peter Gibb/Neil Riley/Chris Lochrane/Raymond Doris

Congratulations to the above employees who successfully completed their Asbestos Awareness online course via iHASCO.

Ashley Reihill

Congratulations to Ashley Reihill who achieved his renewal CSCS OPS test.

Craig Gill

Congratulations to Craig Gill who has achieved his Managers and Professions CSCS card after achieving his Civil Engineering SVQ.

Rhys Hughes

Congratulations to Rhys Hughes who successfully achieved his SSSTS in November.  The training covers necessary lesson in this regard and helps in avoiding the risks and dangers that may affect the workers and management in equal manners. Those undergoing SSSTS training are able to avoid such risks.

Jack McGraw/George Williamson/Ryan Duncan/Peter Grimes

Congratulations to the above employees who successfully achieved their Roller/Dumper course with Raeburn Training. Fantastic news!

Dave Milne

Congratulations to Dave Milne who successfully achieved his SMSTS in November. The course covers all relevant health and safety legislation, CDM Regulations (2015) and ‘best practice’ impacting safe operation on a construction/building site and the civil engineering industry.

Owen Hunter and Mike Gaffney

Both Owen and Mike achieved their CSCS Managers and Professions CSCS card on the same day, scoring 50/50. The competition was on! Great news guys, certified for another 5 years!

Billy McElroy

Congratulations to Billy McElroy for achieving his refresher SSSTS course. The training covers necessary lesson in this regard and helps in avoiding the risks and dangers that may affect the workers and management in equal manners.

Congratulations to the above employees who successfully completed the Banksman and Abrasive Wheels course this month on site at North Muirton Primary School.

December Training
