Dundee Waterfront - Slessor Gardens

As a centre piece of Dundee’s prestigious waterfront development Kilmac will construct nine themed gardens, each 10m2, around the central waterfront lawn.  Each of these gardens has been designed around a theme or person associated with Dundee’s history.  These gardens were constructed using high specification materials, installed to exacting standards of workmanship.

Scope of works

Bulk excavation, high spec paving, street furniture, aluminium edging and soft landscaping.

Project Highlights

• Kilmac planned the work carefully to ensure that the adjacent completed roads and granite paving’s were protected during the construction works.
• The gardens had to be completed within a 5 week period in time for the  Dundee Waterfront grand VIP opening ceremony.  This required careful resource management to ensure the strict deadline was met without compromising the high workmanship standards.
